There are two games up and running. Both are java programs. I recommend [IceBlox], a war between a lone, fearless emperor penguin and evil flames - goal is to collect frozen coins. The other, [JavaSketch] is a java remake of the famous (or infamous, depending on how you feel about it) game etch-a-sketch^TM. Great for mindless doodling.
